coconut americano
Recently, I’ve been hyper-fixating on a new coffee recipe… and I’m really not sure what to call it! It’s some sort of mix between an americano and a latte. It’s perfectly balanced — refreshing, creamy, and sweet. Give it a try, and let me know what you think!
You can use any combination of your favorite espresso, milk, and sweetener. For this recipe, I use the Nespresso double espresso Chiaro pods. The only coconut water brand that exists in my world is the Harmless Harvest organic coconut water - it is top tier. I tend to choose whole milk for my coffee, but oat would be great here too! And lastly, for sweetener, I use my homemade honey vanilla syrup. The recipe for that is posted, as well!
Once I started using honey in my coffee, I never went back. Honey is more than just a natural sweetener—it offers a variety of health benefits as well. Rich in antioxidants, honey helps fight oxidative stress and may reduce inflammation in the body. It also has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which can aid in wound healing and soothe a sore throat. Additionally, honey is a great source of natural energy, providing a quick boost without the crash often associated with refined sugars. With its ability to support digestive health and its soothing qualities for coughs and colds, honey is the perfect addition to your morning coffee routine.
